Best of Chicago Fall – 2022

In 2022, we all saw some of the most stunning fall foliage in years in the Chicago region. Here’s an assortment of what was on offer:

Maple Lake
Willow Springs, South-Western Chicago suburb

Maple Lake is part of the famed Palos Forest Preserve area and entices thousands of visitors each year.

Starved Rock needs no introduction for Chicago dwellers. As perhaps, THE most sought after destination for Fall colors, Starved Rock put on quite a show in 2022.

The half-mile walk around the lake was absolutely blissful during the Fall of 2022.

Morton Arboretum
Lisle, South-Western Chicago suburb

Morton looked ravishing in Fall of 2022 – the Ginkgo leaves turned vivid yellow and the Maples beamed hues of of red and amber.

Maple Grove
Downers Grove, South-Western Chicago suburb

These pictures were taken at the back end of Fall 2022, there was more foliage on the ground than on the trees but it looked stunning nevertheless.

Chicago Botanical Garden
Glencoe, Northern Chicago suburb

The 350+ acre living plant museum is an all-season masterpiece, but especially captivating during the Fall of 2022.
